Charity Project debut! We hope as many cats as possible will be able relax in your home with peace of mind.

We, at Wataoka, have started this charity project in the hope that all cats will live happily ever after.

Charity Nekojasuri

The first initiative of the project is to sell NekoJasuri Yellow as a charity model, and to donate part of the proceeds from the sale of the product to the One Heart Production Committee, which works to raise awareness and protect cats and dogs in Higashihiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture, with the aim of creating a town where people and animals are in harmony in order to reduce the number of sheltered dogs and cats in Higashihiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture.

In order to improve the environment surrounding cats, we are going to start doing what we can to help them.

Since this is the first charity project, we chose the yellow color that makes you think of a bright future!

The beckoning cat that became a Sakura cat

The packaging for the charity Nekojasuri is also a bit special. A manekineko with the logo of Nekojasuri is a Sakura cat with its ears cut into a V- shape and a collar on its head.

We hope that as many stray and sheltered cats as possible will be properly cared for, and that they will live as someone's precious pet cat.

What is Sakura cat?

Have you ever seen a cat with the tips of its ears cut into a V shape? As many of you may already know, this is a sign of a cat that has been spayed or neutered, called Sakura Ears or Sakura cat.

Currently, more than 30,000 cats (in fiscal year 2018) are killed in Japan each year. Many of them are newborn kittens.

Sakura cat is an activity to prevent breeding, reduce complaints and killings by trapping, neutering, and returning (TNRing) unattended cats so that no more such unfortunate cats will be found.

Through various educational activities, we will share knowledge on how to live with family pets for life and how to prevent the increase in the number of dogs and cats that are called "strays".

We were joined by Natsumegu & Hachimitsu duo, who we've always seen looking great on Instagram!
He comes from a sheltered cat background, so when we asked him if he would like to model for us, he agreed and we were able to shoot him this time!

They were not swooning over us when we suddenly arrived at the scene, but rather they were nervous. Still, that's a star cat! He showed a cute expression when his owner, TATENO, called out to him! Please continue to enjoy Nekojasuri in your relaxing time with TATENO.
